Nearly £500k worth of Rolex watches to go under the hammer at Fellows’ May sale
In what the Birmingham-based auction house says is one of the most elegant Rolex watches ever sold at Fellows, an 18ct Everose gold Oyster Perpetual Date is expected to be the top lot in this month’s luxury watch auction.
It is lot 134A in the auction held on Monday, May 16, in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Estimated at £55,000-65,000, it is in good general condition with a functional movement, features an olive green dial, reference number 228235, and comes complete with a box and papers.
There were many Rolex replica watches in the same auction that could fetch tens of thousands of pounds. An Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona in 18K white gold (lot 98A) was estimated at £28,000-38,000, while an Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II bracelet watch (lot 105A) was estimated at £16,000-22,000.
Another highlight was a stainless steel Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller bracelet watch (lot 133), estimated at £20,000-£30,000.
These watches were included among several other Submariner, and GMT Rolex watches in the sale.
Over 200 watches from Rolex and prestigious brands such as Omega and Tag Heuer are set to receive strong interest.
Fellows hosts live auctions at its Birmingham auction house, where clients can appear in person, by telephone, via an Internet bidding platform, or by consignment.
The auction house is offering free delivery of auctioned items, subject to terms, and is holding physical viewing days in London on May 10 and 11 and in Birmingham on May 13 and 16.
Commenting on the sale, Steven Jambo, senior watch specialist at Fellows Auctions, said.” Our May luxury replica watches auction includes hundreds of outstanding watches and the bids are already flying in.”
Adding.” We will be auctioning a wonderful collection of Rolex watches that are exceptional pieces. the Everose is one of the most stunning watches we have ever auctioned and I can’t wait to see it sold.”
